Campaign: 3 STRANDS BRACELETS for the AGAPE TRAINING CENTER
50 % of all proceeds from 3 Strands Bracelets will go to the Agape Training Center in Svay Pak, Cambodia. Agape International Missions (AIM) offers victims of sex-trafficking in Cambodia a new life with a new trade. For 41 young women, that new life starts at Agape Training Center (ATC) where vocation meets rehabilitation. Buy one of their beautiful "3 Strands" bracelets and support their new trade and new life. AIM's Agape Training Center (ATC) in Svay Pak, Cambodia, employs 41 survivors of sex-trafficking. This textile factory is where vocation meets rehabilitation, offering a new life in a healing environment.
AIM serves in the country of Cambodia. Cambodia was ravaged by the Khmer Rouge and its leader, Pol Pot, from 1975 to 1979. Mass genocide resulted; the educated, religious and influential were killed, with an estimated total of 3 million deaths. Much of Cambodia lives with post-traumatic stress disorder and in abject poverty. Based on a 2012 report published by the United Nations Development Program, one third of Cambodians live below the international poverty line by earning just $0.61 per day. This along with corruption in government and police agencies fuels the sex-trafficking industry.
